A Media/Hospitality/Entertainment Corporation (MHECorp) is a corporation that functions primarily in the sectors of media, hospitality, and entertainment, and is a typical conglomerate corporation found throughout Union space, though the majority of them are located on the Long Rim as Core Worlds typically have corporations big enough to specialize in any one sector. Given the limited availability of local human interaction at some substations and remote systems, MHECorps are a consistent relief and a friendly face for any weary spacer pulling into a spaceport. These corporations may exist independently of, or as subsidiaries of, SSC and IPS-N, as the two major corporations have fingers in almost all of the galaxy's pies in the areas that MHECorps operate.

On some worlds, every smile a client may see in all clientele-facing areas will likely originate from an MHECorp Employee. The local movies, news, and sat shows will have origins in an MHECorp station and studio. The hosts and stewards aboard local transportation and in local rest facilities are likely in the employ of an MHECorp, and finally any live entertainment, of all varieties, will likely be staffed by MHECorp employees as well. In this way, all employees are protected as blackballed clientele may find themselves barred from all forms of rest and recreation shortly after a grievous offense, forcing them off-station or offworld with professional expedition.

A typical MHECorp is staffed by locals, though some may import employees from across systems for relative years long tours to homogenize the customer experience. A few may use more exotic fare to maximize the homogeneity of their customer experiences.
