A Media/Hospitality/Entertainment Corporation (MHECorp) is a corporation that functions primarily in the sectors of media, hospitality, and entertainment, and is a typical conglomerate corporation found throughout Union space, though the majority of them are located on the Long Rim as Core Worlds typically have corporations big enough to specialize in any one sector. Given the limited availability of local human interaction at some substations and remote worlds, MHECorps are a relief and a friendly face for any weary spacer pulling into a spaceport.

On some worlds, every smiling face a visitor may see will likely originate from an MHECorp Employee. The local movies, news, and sat shows will have origins in an MHECorp station and studio. The hosts and stewards aboard local transportation and in local hospices are likely in the employ of an MHECorp, and finally any live entertainment, of all varieties, will likely be staffed by MHECorp employees as well. In this way, all employees are protected as blackballed clientele may find themselves barred from all forms of rest and recreation under short order of a grievous offense.
